I installed Terminal Services on our Windows 2000 Advanced Server at work. When I am at home, I use Remote Desktop Connection on my XP Pro box so I can connect to the 2000 server. We have two running server programs that are minimized to the server's taskbar. When I connect, I can't see the minimized programs. I believe it is caused by the session that I created when I logged in using RDC. Sinse Terminal Services on the server is a service, any connection creates a session. But, I have to be able to see the minimized programs on the taskbar. Is there a way to connect using this method that I could see the taskbar programs that are "currently" running? Would I be better off using PCAnywhere or VNC? Since it is over the Net, better security with VNC would require SSH "tunneling".

Terminal services creates a new session on the server. you are not viewing the desktop that you see at work,it is seperate. PCAnywhere and VNC do show you your works desktop but encryption on VNC would be nice.
