Cant remote intop my friends router

I am trying to remote into my friends router to administer in. I can do it from work but not at home. From home I can remote in as a user menu but not to the admin screen. Any ideas?

Settings in the router most likely. I have mine set to allow only my work PC to connect to it. You may have done the same thing, allowed only a certain IP to connect remotely.

I havent specified any ip addresses yet it still lets me in at work.
