When I use my printer on the Xp machine I canīt print from Me (communications error!), but when I use it on the Me machine I can print from Xp with no problems. Howīs that? Is it something with Me? I got a HP Deskjet 720c. Thanks!

Let me see if I have this right. When you have the printer physically connected to the XP machine and you are sharing it out you can't print across the network to from the ME machine. But when you reverse the senario it works. When you browse the network can you connect and install the printer from ME? Are you logged onto the ME machine with the same user name and password as you logged onto XP?

Hi! Yes, youīre right about the scenario! I log on to the network on Me by a network password (but actually I donīt wanna do it. I just wanna start the network and computer without any passwords, but I donīt know how yet. Do you?) On Xp I just log in with my name (welcome screen), no passwords. Then I can share files with the 2 comps without any problems. I have installed Me drivers for the printer on Me and Xp drivers on Xp. Are there any compability problems between Me and Xp? Games I canīt play on LAN yet either. I connect through a Netgear RP114 router/switch. But the file and internet sharing is working great. Hope you can help me a little bit. :(
