Hi..
I have my two computers networked with a crossover cable, I'm using windows XP pro. My laptop works fine but my desktop doesn't. I have the same group 'workgroup' have tried home networking wizard but no success. The problem is that my desktop doesn't seem to even ping itself. I tried 127.0.0.1 but to no avail. The network card works fine, cause I can connect the two computer using XP PRO on my laptop and Win98se on the desktop, this combination works very well. I have a firewall on the desktop that I have disabled, and yet no sign of life.

Any Help? Thanks.
Ben.

CHECK YOUR TCP/IP SETTINGS, OR UNINSTALL TCP/IP AND REINSTALL IT
