Can't open web based config page

Comment:
I have installed a router and it seems to be functioning (that is I can ping form my laptop), however, I am unable to open the web based config page. I have used a friend’s laptop and it can open it. But my PC and lap top can't. When I look for the network through "My network" places on the laptop, I can see the connection but if I try to open it I am asked for a login and password??? Any suggestions?

Enter Login and Password as requested.
You will find the default login and password in the manual for the router. Once you are in you will be able to change the password to something of your own choosing.

Thanks for replying Stuart! What the manual is referring to is a login when the web based config page opens. Unfortunately I can't get my browser to find the config page. If I use a friends laptop he can find it, but my PC and laptop can't. At this stage, my laptop can see the wireless network, but it doesn’t appear in the “My network places” on the lap top and the connection is useless. Rob Hurley
