I have a Windows 98 machine which is using different laguage settings. After I installed TCP/IP, set the network identification, and everything else, it just couldn't logon to Win2K domain anymore. Messgaes says either user name/password is not correct or the domain controller can't be found. I have checked connections, account settings, workgroups, logon to domain settings, it just didn't work. On Win2K it uses win2k.lab.test.net as the network identification. So supposely it should prompt client machine use lab as the domian name to logon because I have already set to expand dns suffix in the dns settings. Any suggestions?

If you have static IP's set it to DHCP and restart. After restarting enter a valid ip and restart. If you have DHCP running, try to ping the server, if you get request timed out try see if you have physical connection by checking the activity on your NIC or HUB.
