Can't get to DSL router config

My desktop system OS is Windows Vista, and also have a Linksys WRT54GS DSL wireless router. The configuration URL is http://192.168.1.1. I find that I cannot open this URL if I have "Protection Against Viruses and Spyware" turned on in Trend Micro Internet Security (came free with my desktop).
My question is what setting(s) can I change in Trend Micro Internet Security so that I can go to the URL for my Linksys router configuration? I have verified that it is not "Personal Firewall" that's blocking this access, it is the "Protection Against Viruses and Spyware" part of Trend Micro Internet Security. I can just turn it off and open this URL, but I don't think that's a good idea.

Okay, just fixed this...Open Trend Micro Internet Security, open "Internet & Email Controls", then "Protection Against Web Threats", then "Edit your list of approved web sites", and add http://192.168.1.1 to that.
This was not under "Protection Against Viruses and Spyware", so I'm not sure why turning that off allowed me to get to 192.168.1.1.
Hopefully this won't have any unexpected side effects. When Trend Micro comes up for renewal, I'll probably switch to Nod32 and call it a day.
