THis problem is driving me nuts. On my windows XP desktop I have no problem at all viewing webcams. But when I attempt to view on Vista it just times out and says a network error has occured. It's so frustrating and I can not figure out what is wrong.
To date I have:
***Disbeled windows firewall and Defender - still wouldnt work
***Made sure the program was allowed through the PC tools software
***Watched the incoming request ping the computer and be shut down by something (can't tell what)
***Uninstalled yahoo and reinstalled
***Went into the MMC Snap in and enabeled all services.Nothing is working. Since Vista is set up different from XP I can't even determine what it could be.
If anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

"Made sure the program was allowed through the PC tools software"
What "pc tools" program are you referring to? Is this the web cam software?
My security cameras/DVR requires authenication and a particular port number to then access the feeds. What are your web cam requirements?

THanks for the reply. THe program is allowed through PC tools. This is a re-curring problem with any third party program....not just yahoo.
I have the PC Tools internet suite. I personally do not have a webcam. I'm just unable to view others. Something within Vista is blocking it. I think this is more of a TCP/IP problem
