my adsl router(bsnl dna-a211-i) is connected with my desktop by ethernet cord(100mbps) and i am connecting my laptop(11g)(asus eee 4g) with the router(11g) wirelessly. whatever the theoritical speed is i am getting only 1mbps bandwidth in this lan with no firewall or sequrity setup. Internet surfing is not a problem but transferring large files is really a headache. the distance from the laptop and the router is approx 3-3.5 m and signal strength is excellent. So I don't think distance is a problem here. Can any body tell me how to increase this band width? Thanks in advance
