Hi
I had to reformat and install WIN98 se on a computer and even after installing the drivers for the network card I can't access the internet. I must be doing something wrong however normally I don't need to do anything special to get internet through LAN. I have satellite boradband and with my 3 other comps I simply plug the LAN in and away she goes, internet. Should WIN98 work the same (my others are WINXP). When I open internet explorer all I get is the internet connection wizard. How can I get it to use the LAN?

Thanks
graham

"When I open internet explorer all I get is the internet connection wizard"

Why have you not used this wizard to setup the LAN Connection ??

Hi thanks for your reply,
The wizard is the MSN internet access wizard. It does not mention LAN as an option. All it says is that I need to install a modem before I can access the internet. The point I was trying to make is that with my WINXP computers I don't have to do anything to get online except plug the LAN in(to the router). I have installed the Network card and it shows in device manager as working properly.
