I'm not sure what you mean by "security number" If you could explain a little more clearly (like, describing what you're doing when prompted for the security number) we should be able to help you better.

It matters not how straight the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate;
I am the captain of my soul.

I guess you could reset the router and start over afresh but it would be useful to first provide the requested info in response #1.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

I believe you are referring to the wifi encryption passphrase or code.

If you don't remember it you would need to logon to the router to view the wifi settings. Some routers will allow you to see it in plain text which will allow you to set it on your wifi card. Otherwise you have to reset the passphrase to something you know on the router and then set that on all wifi devices;

Answers are only as good as the information you provide.

Other than logging on to wireless router management page to reset the wireless encryption key, you could try this wireless key finder on the PC to identify the key.

Hope this helps.
