I'm running XP Home on my PC. It's NTFS formatted. I have a D-Link wireless router attached, and just bought a Samsung Blu-Ray player, that has streaming capability. So in effect it has made my Samsung TV, a Smart TV. I set the player up today and it is working fine. I'm connected to the network. I can access content like Netflix, etc., but am trying to file share with my computer, which at present I'm unable to do.
There is supposed to be an option to enable "Simple file sharing", but I don't have it. Some online research suggested that it wouldn't be an option if I was FAT32 formatted. It was only an option if it was NTFS, which I am. Not sure if not being XP Pro is an issue.
So if anyone can explain how to share some basic files (pictures and music) between my PC, and the streaming box,...I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
