can't create child domain

Before , thank you for http://www.helmig.com, I have already done to make a member domain in win2k, but now I can not make child domain in w2k, the message is:

The operation failed because:Failed finding a suitable domain controler for the domain mis.syi
"The specified domain ether does not exist or could not be created"

please help me,what should I do.

It's hard to say what to do without knowing everything you've done up to this point. Ideally, you install a server, set up DNS, change the DNS suffix and then run dcpromo.exe. You create the first DC (domain controller) in a new forest to implement your domain. Then you install a 2nd server, set up a static IP address within the same scheme as the first (ie: 1st DC is 192.168.0.1, so make the 2nd one, 192.168.0.2) Point it's DNS at the 1st DC (192.168.0.1) and then run dcpromo. Set this one up as a child domain of an existing domain in the same forest.

From the sounds of the error message, you're having DNS problems.
