can't connect to some websites

Hi I have a small problem, All of a sudden without me changing anything i cant seem to access some websites i know the websites are up cause i can connect to them from orther computors, I dont have any firewall on
So can anyone give me some pointers on what to do or if you need more infomation let me know

If you are positive that no firewall is enabled (internal Windows XP, or third party ones) than there are other posibilities:
1. Some anti-spam and anti-spyware programs have the capability of blocking websites
2. Some websites require "Active-X" support. "Active-X" is proprietory from Microsoft, you must use Internet Explorer to view these websites.
3. If you are not already logged in as administrator (owner for XP Home) try logging in as administrator or through an account with administrator priviledges and see if that makes any difference. If this works than your problem has something to do with the settings of the "bad" profile.

no none of them are causing it i even did a system restore and still same problem i can only imagine it has to do with my isp i hear ntl are abit dodgy with there transparent caching proxy server, is there anyway i can configure this myself anyone know or is it all to do with them?
