Hi,

My office computer is connected to the LAN. One day a software called 'Adware' automatically downloaded and installed. After I remove it, I found I cannot connect to the internet. When open the browser (IE), it shows "No connection availalbe ...". Check 'Local Area Connection', it shows: status connected, 100 mbps, duration xx, and the send packet number increasing, but no recieve packet.

Tried to reintall the network card driver provided by windows 2000, no luck.

I appreciate your help
Yu

A swing and a miss, uppercrust.

yuclemson, this is just a shot in the dark, but try running lspfix. AdAware can remove some adware that installs lsp addins. This sometimes causes the problem you described. Try this tool, and post back if you still have the same problem.
