A few days ago i started having problems with my modem dropping my connection, i was able to get a new modem and it recieves a connection just fine however my computer does not now. When i run the cable from the modem now directly to the comp it won't connect and it won't connect to wireless of any form either. I tested that out by taking it someplace i knew had a good wireless signal. It will connect to the network but not let me get to the actual internet. I run an HP with Vista. I checked my antivirus and nothing out of the norm there. The firewall isn't blocking anything. I did a restore for several days before i started having problems and still no luck. I didn't change any of my settings and nothing unusual happened except for the modem problem. Help i need my internet back.
