Hewlett-packard / Proliant gl 340 series

Specs: server 2008 R2 / server 2003, 400Gb / 8Gb
I have just installed a server 2003 x86 guest on server 2008R2 x64 host. I can't get the two to ping themselves because I can't configure the guest to see the network or internet. I need the guest to install a 32 bits application requiring external connection.
I have 8Gb RAM and over 400Gb space. Can I get help please?

Do you have DHCP enabled and configured on the server?

Is the client setup to get it's TCP/IP info from DHCP?

On both the server and the "guest" client, open a command prompt window (ie: Start >> Run >> type cmd and hit Enter) and run the following command:

ipconfig /all

and post the output of both in a repsonse. For instructions on the easy way to copy/paste the output of those commands click on my name above and read my "how-to" guide titled, "Post the output of ipconfig (version 2)"

I recall reading somewhere you need to bridge the virtual nic with the host nic to then be seen on the network.
