I can not add a pc to an existing network using the network wizard in win xp. I have a laptop and another pc connected to the workgroup. I get the following error message. " Mshome is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions."

is this a work/corporate network, or just a home network?
Are you using a domain controller of any kind?
How are you attempting to add your computer to "MSHOME", just changing under Computer Properties?
And when are you getting the error exactly, when trying to change? Can you browse to MSHOME under Network Locations, or will you get the same error?
Can you ping any of the other computers, and is your computer using the same internal IP schema (ie. if the other computers are on a 192.168.x.x network is yours on the same network)?
Have you also checked to see if the computer you are trying to add is automatically detecting for IP and DNS? and if so it it propperly detecting it?
Let me know.
Michael

I got it fix. The problem was with Norton's Anti-Virus program. I temporarily disabled it and was able to add the pc to the workgroup along with the others. Thanks...
