Hi, can someonoe please help?!

Have a Windows 2000 server with 2 NICs. One (170.x.x.x) is connected to the company network and has web access. 2nd card (192.X.X.X)is used for the showroom.

The 192 card has the 170 address as the gateway.

If I'm in the showroom with my laptop, I use the wireless connection with a static 192.x.x.x address. The gateway is set to the 192 address of the 2K server.

With this setting, I can ping the 170 card of the server. This shows that the gateways of my laptop and server are both set correctly?

Now for the fun bit, although I can ping the 170 card of the server from my laptop, I cannot ping anything else on the 170 network and cannot get on the web. IP forwarding is enabled on the server.

If anyone has any ideas as to what I am missing, please let me know.

Thanks,
Jonno

If it ain't broke, leave it!!

Sounds like a router issue to me. What kind of router are you using? I would check the ACL's.
