Specs: Windows server 2003
Hi,

I am a netwrok administrator at a small company (20 PC) and i have a problem, and i don't know which could be the cause. I can't access a specific website from the LAN.
I have a server which has 2 NICs(one to ISP and one to LAN). I have installed on the server (besides active directory and microsoft exchange, DNS server and DHCP server) ISA Server. I want to mention that "nslookup my_site", and "traceroute my_site" is working perfectly, I can access the site from outside the LAN. I don't have any rule configured in ISA Server which wouldn't let me acces the site. A week ago, the specific website was working perfectly. I didn't make any change and I am the only one responsable with the IT department.

I would be very greatful if you will help me. Thanks

Sometimes updates can change firewall rules. Recently a Firefox update set my browser to use a proxy that didn't exist.

In any event, if you are hosting your own site, your access within the LAN should be done by the local IP address. As long as the URL works from outside the LAN, there is nothing wrong.

Secondly, dual NICs & MS really don't work well.

you understood me wrong :) I can access my web site from inside and outside the LAN, I was referring to another site (for example www.yahoo.com), which cannot be accessed. If I try to access it from another location (for example my home), it works.

89.36.26.159

Put the IP address in the URL box. Does it open?

Like I said, the dns solver it's working :), there is no difference between entering the IP address, or the name of the site
