I have a home network consisting of 3 towers. They are "Daisy chained" like thus.....
Pc 1: connected to internet via usb (Broadband always on). This pc is connected to Pc 2 via Ethernet (crossover cable)

Pc 2: connected to Pc 3 via usb (ez connect ethernet to usb adapter into Pc 3's ethernet)

All pc's running windows xp pro.

The problem I have is that Pc 1 cannot see Pc 3 and vice versa. Pc 2 can see both.

I'm a beginner at networking but with experience so I'm not toooo clueless lol.

Any ideas how I can get all 3 pc's to see eachother?

I have tried running the network wizard on all pc's but not in any order.
I will try this now, but I don't think I'll have much luck.
Many thanks for any help.

It sounds as if you have two separate networks. PCs 1 & 2 are on the first network and PCs 2 & 3 are on the 2nd network. PC2 is acting as a bridge in a sense.

There probably is a way to do it without any additinal hardware, but adding a router would be the easiest solution and it would add a good deal of security as well.

With your current setup you might be able to get it to work by connecting PC3 to PC1 with the USB cable - if it's close enough.

ok, thank you. I'll find out what ICS is and try it. I will be getting a router soon, and security isn't an issue as they are all for me, its just while i'm doing radio, i can't do other things, so use another pc to do them. thats why i want everything available lol.

will report back

you would need to do "bridge" the two nics in pc2. of course you would have ics working on the network interfaces on the internet pc.

Give a person a fish, they eat for a day. Suggest they internet search and they learn a skill for a lifetime.

The added security that I mentioned was security between the internet and your PCs, not betweent he PCs themselves. Right now PC1 is connected directly to the internet - bad idea. A firewall will help, but a router increases the security a great deal.

Yes, I have it sorted thank you so much. it was seen as 2 connections. I bridged them, and it's all fine now.
Yes I do agree about the security, Firewalls are on, security is as high as poss. I will be getting a router in a few days, I just needed them together so I could broadcast my radio.
Now I can :o)
Thanks again
