can someone help me here? im using dell window xp, my laptop wifi can search for others network but not my house own network, i try to use my handphone with wifi function to search, my house network is come out! it can connect and browse. Every of my housemate can search and connect it. First of all,I'm curious whether someone is block my ip, but there is NO. So i done error-checking to my laptop, finally my house's network was come out. This problem keep on repeat and repeat although I already try to format my laptop, everytime i have to do error-checking 1or2 times only can search for it. Is it my laptop problem? or Wifi hardware problem? because if my Wifi hardware problem, im shouldn't can search for others network.. im using Intel(R) PROSet/ wireless and modem is D-link.

Make sure that your laptop is able to detect whatever network protocol your wireless AP is running on (ie. 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g, or 802.11n draft). If you are using a router that works with 802.11g ONLY for example and your laptop is 802.11b only, then it will not be able to connect properly.
