I installed a new d link wireless router. Now my wireless wont work. Under wireless connections it says that it is waiting to authenticate. Not sure why, i have used wireless before on this laptop.
"waiting to authenticate" Often caused by firewall blocking authentication. Temporarily disable firewall and if that fixes it, get a different firewall.
If temporarily disabling the firewall doesn't do the trick, make sure you're entering the encryption key correctly. From the sounds of it, you've changed equipment and I know from personal experience when doing so, it's easy to typo your key. If necessary, go back into the wireless portion of the router's management interface and re-enter your key and then ensure you're using the exact same one on the laptop.
