I had an Exchange 5.5 server configured with outlook web access on a local lan behind a firewall. Ive set a port forward for this machine so people could reach their email from home. Now when i did an upgrade to Exchange 2000 everything was fine except the fact that OWA wasnt working from the internet. On my local lan if i type http://10.x.x.x/exchange everything works fine.
If i connect trough the internet and try to access my email trough owa with http://ip:port/exchange i get an error Cannot find server or dns error message after i log on with the credidential.
If i log on with Http://ip:port without the /exchange i get page under construction error.
I really want to get owa to be working today but im stuck i have no more idea. I called my ISP to make sure the server was registered in their DNS and it is.
I made sure that the dns i was using on my primary domain controller are the same then on my exchange 2000 server.
If someone think they could give me a hand with this id appreciate.
I have a forwarder configured on 142.44.1.1 which is my isp provider dns server. They said everything was fine on their side. So im guessing its something internally that i didn't probably see.
The name of my server has changed from the one i was using in exchange 5.5 it is now called Exchangesrv and i looked in the DNS on my Domain Controller and there is a dns entry for Exchangesrv.domain.com with the correct IP.
Thanks in advance for the help and if someone think i should add detail let me know.
Eowyy
