Motorola wr850gp wireless router. The default ip is 192.168.10.1. I attempted to use it as a wireless access point and now it is not working at all. I tried connecting the router LAN port to the computer and 192.168.10.1 pulls up nothing.
I tried connecting the modem to the WAN port and the LAN port of the router to the PC, but then I have no internet access at all. I tried resetting the router, still nothing. All lights on the router are green. I don't know what the heck is going on?
Set any PC's wired network card to the static IP address of 192.168.10.2 Connect it directly to the router with a cat 5 cable. Open any browser, put 192.168.10.1 in the URL box & press enter.
When the router login page opens, use admin as the user name & motorola for the password.
If someone has changed the password, reset the router, with the reset button.

I'm glad to hear it. Understand why it worked. It worked because you put the PC on the same subnet as the router. How do you know when a politician is lying? His mouth is moving.
