cannot connect my wireless router

They're not very complex and you really don't have to install any software on your computer from the disk anyhow........at least I never have and I've set so many of them up over the years it's not funny.
In fact, all I ever do is look up the IP to connect to the management interface in the quick setup guide and then connect to it and go from there.
If you're really stuck and have to have the disk, I'd recommend you go to the manufacturer's website and look for copy of the documentation (manual/quick setup guide) or even email their support people, explain your dilemma and ask if they can send you a new disk.
