CPU/Ram: athlonxp 2500+/1024mb ddr

I have recently set up a wireless network of 6 people - each with a read only shared folder. (Most running XP home)

But for some reason, nobody can access mine (XP pro). I am visible on the network, and can be pinged etc... but apparently other users do not have the access rights to view my shared folder.

I think this is to do with me (possibly) changing the Administrative tools > Policies for my pc. But if I have changed something, I've forgotten what.

Can anyone help...?

Hi.
Are you using Norton AV?

Sometimes problems can be caused by having too small an IRP Buffer. Try increasing it's size as per the following link:

No, not using norton... I have tried turning off the windows firewall, but that doesnt work either...

Ok after hours messing around with policies I just decided to uninstall SP2. And it worked.
I reinstalled SP2 later, and it was fine...
