Cannot access any microsoft websites

Specs: Windows XP
I cannot access any microsoft websites except when in safe mode + networking. I can browse all other websites just fine, but can only access any microsoft sites in safe mode. help

You would want to review your Hosts file entries as well as restrictions set in your antivirus/firewall software.

Definitely sounds like a malware infection. You might run your antivirus program and some free malware/spyware removal tools like MalwareBytes or SuperAntiSpyware.

Checking the hosts file entries as wanderer mentions is also a good idea.

Thanks for the responses! Listen to this, because I know that safe mode doesn't load all drivers, services, and registry files, I first looked for conflicting drivers; there was none. Then I looked at the services for DNS conflicting issues. I noticed that the DNS client service was not loaded in safe mode, so I stop and disabled the DNS client service. Amazingly this fixed and solved the problem!
