cannot access a shared folder in network

April 22, 2011 at 20:50:45
Specs: Windows XP
Today when I tried to access one network folder, I could not access it. I was getting the message "computer name\\folder name\ is not accessible, you might not have permission to use this network resource".
Then I went to the host computer and changed the permission to "everyone" but still I'm getting the same message.

Go to the target computer (the one with the share on it) and create a user account for yourself. Use the exact same username and password you use to logon to your computer. Add that account to the share and give it whatever permissions you need (Read/Write/Execute etc) and you should have no problem accessing the share after that.

It matters not how straight the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate;
I am the captain of my soul.
