First of all, what is the IP address and subnet mask on each PC? Did you set them up on the same workgroup? Can the PCs "see" each other? If you are running a firewall on either or both PCs, you will have to configure them to allow access to one another. Finally, if you have them connected by a network (crossover) cable, and you have the Internet running through one of the PCs (hopefully the Win XP PC), you will also have to set up Internet Connection Sharing. If you're not sure how to do that, you can find plenty of help by running a Google search.

ICS is set up. Thanks for the reply. I will probaly get banned for reposting like this but i really don't care at this point. I needed this problem solved and someone out there should have known the answer. I have tried what you said already Daniel and yes the PC'S can see each other and and share files but not internet. And internet shareing did work great with McAfee firewall. But for some reason Zone Alarm want work. Maybe there is still something im doing wrong i just can't figure out what. But ZoneAlarm should make there software easier to configure like McAfee and others have no trouble. But thanks anyway.

I read somewhere that you have to add your computers to zonealarm's allow list. I don't use zonealarm anymore, so I can't tell you where that setting is. have you tried to contact ZoneAlarm's tech support?

Yes, either add your LAN to the allowed zone or you could just add your router. Either one should work.

Hi
zonelarm does not fully support ICS.
http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/support/techNote_9.jsp
bah!
However ived used it in the past simply add the second pc's (ip address and subnet) firewall tab/add/subnet & both reboot.
if it still doesnt work maybe Zlabs have done this deliberately in this later version :(
