can ping remote PC, but not browse

I have two sites set up via ISDN point-to-point. The host site has a server I need to connect to . I can ping the IP address of the server from the remote site, but the PC (Windows ME) will not find it when using the 'Search for Computer' tool. I have tried by IP and Computer name. The remote site is also accessing the internet through the host site and that it working with no problem. Any ideas?
