can ping internet but not local

i have this problem. have 2 computers that are sharing my dsl thru a hub (dsl company allows 2 dynamic ips w/ dhcp). both computers can ping and surf the internet fine, but cannot ping or view each others home page. (each computer has a web server and a domain thru dns2go.) can anyone help me? this seems like it shoould work. let me know if you need more information

Your problem probably lies in DNS name resolution. Your DSL provider provides (or forwards) dns resolution to reach the net and your DSL provider is most likely blocking port 80 to prevent web hosting by its customers. Have you tried connecting by using your IP address rather than your fqdn?? You should be able to connect that way through your hub.

basically what happens is i type in the address (i've tried ip and fqdn) and in the status bar in internet explorer it says opening page (ip address)... and it times out. no 404 or anything like that. the internet can see both fine though. if it helps, i can't ping between the two computers either. (it times out) i'm wondering if telus (my dsl provider) is blocking traffic within their network. also i'm wondering if its a problem with windows. at one point, one of the computers had linux on it and it all worked good. now they are windows xp and windows 2000 server.
