I seem to have a strange problem with my setup here. I have a cable modem hooked to a router. All computers that hook up to the network, via wireless cards, can access the internet with no problems. The problem comes when they try to browse each other. I can ping each computer successfully. I just cannot browse them in network neighbourhood.
Now here is the strange part. I recently added a new computer to the system and suddently all three could see each other perfectly. That worked for about 3 reboots, now none of them sees each other.
Very strange indeed! I would love a solution to this extremly frustrating problem as they all worked together just fine! I even backed one of them up to another with no problems!

I'm not sure what you mean by "browse them in network neighbourhood," but here are some things to check or try. Is the "Computer Browser" service running in at least one computer (I like to have it running on all)? What happens when you do Start - Run - \\IPaddr - OK, where IPaddr is the IP of one of the other computers? If that gives you the folder containing the shares, what happens when you do the same but use the other computer's name instead of IPaddr?
Terry

If your ping is sucessful, as you say, then your connections are OK. You have a software problem. Make sure sharing is enabled and a folder is selected on each computer on the network. A folder must be selected to show up in network neighborhood or place etc. Shut down any firewalls temporaraly, or select a setting that will trust your LAN. As the above post said and I agree it's a firewall issue.
