Hi there, I have a problem with my workplace Alpha station running on Unix.It can ping to a remote host running on VMS/VAX station and vice versa but cannot login.I suspect the ethernet cable might giving a problem.Anybody have other opinion?
Forgive my poor english. But If you can ping a remote computer, I think your problem isn´t ethernet cable. When you try login a remote computer you are using another aplication call it TELNET, so that maybe you have a problem with your aplication telnet configuration (Port ? ... ) or it exists a server telnet problem.
