Can only connect in Safe Mode

January 11, 2009 at 08:05:21
Specs: Microsoft Windows XP SP2, 1.2 Ghz
It is my Dad's PC that I am having this problem with. He is able to connect to the Internet in Safe Mode but not when booted up normally which suggests some kind of software/driver conflict to me. I have tried to Repair and it is unable to compete "Clearing NetBT". I have tried a few solutions to the NetBT problem including a winsock fix but they have not resolved the problem. Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing the conflict.

Unknown isn't a manufacturer or model number. It would help if you could provide that information or the NIC info.

What does ipconfig show when you're logged in normally? Are you sure the connection isn't disabled? What preceded this problem?
