My set up is 2 pcs running XP and one running 98, this is using a wireless network with my broadband modem plugged into a wireless access point.
Now all networking features are working fine, all pcs are in infrastructure mode, but two of the pcs can only access the internet when one specific pc running xp is switched on. In other words if this pc is not on, they cannot access the internet, i have no idea what this problem could be, can anyone help?

Check thoes two pc's proxy server details
Tools>Internet Options>Connections>Lan Settings Check whether proxy server IP address is of the pc which is required "ON". If so, it means that both these pcs are routed via the thrid pc which is necessarily "ON".
