Hi guys...

I am running XP Pro SP2 updated on a Pentium 4, 3.2 GHz with 2 gigs of memory. I have 2 desktops and a laptop networked through an eithernet cable to a Dlink DI-524 wireless router. I have installed Avast Anti Virus and Kerio Personal Firewall. The Windows Security Center firewall is not enabled. I have an HP laserjet 2100 printer connected to my Main computer through a parallel port and it prints from the main computer but the networked computers will not print. I have made sure that the printer and appropriate file folders are shared. In My Network Places on the main computer I can only see the Main Computer. In My Network Places on the laptop I can see the laptop and the Main Computer but not the other desktop. In My Network places on the other desktop I can see all three computers. I am thinking that perhaps my dlink network software (192.168.0.1) is not configured correctly. The Network adaptors are configured to connect dynamically.

Do I have to install print drivers on each computer?

What have I not disclosed that would allow you to help me resolve these printing issues?

TIA for your help.

If you have installed the printers on the other computers then the drivers are already installed.

Whats kind of funny is that you just about described the layout of my own network--I even have the hp lj2100! =)

Anyhow what really stands out is the Kerio firewall. I use a different kind of firewall but when I have it enabled none of the remote computers can print nor can they access any of the shares on my main pc.

So, verify that the printers are indeed installed on your remote computer, disable your firewall, and try printing again.

I tried your suggestion. The page shows up in the printers and faxes page as being seen. But it doesn't print. Thanks for your suggestion. Any other thoughts?
