Is it possible to limit the band width usage of a laptop(1 on WIN XP, 1 on MAC) from my desktop pc? My wireless router is link to my desktop while the 2 laptops connect via wireless network.

to limit the traffic it has to go thru something that can control it. your setup doesn't have that unless you have that feature in your router.
