Specs: Windows Vista
I moved my desktop to my room upstairs and was told that my wireless would work with an adaptor. I put the installation disk in and it says my desktop needs an update before the installation can be complete. Is there a way to connect my laptop to my desktop to get the update so I don't have to drag my desktop back downstairs to get the update. My desktop is not setup for wireless and that is why i bought the adapter. I don't have a long cord either. Is this do-able?

You might be able to burn the update to a CD, on the laptop. What adapter did you buy & what update is it telling you that you need? Any of the USB adapters should work.
