Hi

As the title says, I CAN connect to my router and configure it with IE using a wireless connection but I CANT browse any websites. The funny thing is that I CAN use skype?!

I’m using a dlink router, and a dlink usb dongle with wireless G.

I tried deactivating the security encryption ... nothing

Checked the windows firewall even try surfing with it disabled … nothing

Can’t ping any website…

Tried netsh winsock reset catalog and netsh int ip reset reset.log … nothing

Also tryed the software WinSockXPFix … nothing

Uninstalling the wireless usb dongle and reinstalling it ... nothing

The DHCP Client DNS Client and NLA are running.

If I enter www.google.com the address bar changes to http:/// (there are 3 /)
And says that the address is wrong…

Maybe I should mention that this happened a couple days after I uninstalled Norton Internet Security 2008?

Does someone have any suggestions,
Thanks a lot

What does ipconfig show?

Well I don't have the computer here right now.
But what should I look at in particular?

I remember that the router does give me an ip.

In the wireless network card settings, are these protocols necessary:

WLAN-Transport
AEGIS Protocol

Because on the computer that has the connection problem doesn't have these protocols.
It does have Internetprotocol (TCP/IP)

Thanks,
