can computers slow internet?

i have a motorola cable modem and as im surfin the net it starts to get reallyyy slow down...the lights on my modem are ok...i have comcast and they came here bout 15 times but they say theres nothin wrong and the internet comes to a crawl...can somethin in a computer slow it down?..anything i can try?...thanks

Sure. Firstly I would go to IE Tools, Internet Options, Advanced and under the Security section place a tick next to "Empty temporary internet files folder when browser is closed", Click Apply and Ok. Close all browser windows.
