I have two cable modems coming into complete opposite ends of a large house. Both have identical linksys wireless g routers connected to them. They are of course, completely separate connections. A single one cannot be used due to the size of the house. Is there a way to eliminate one or combine the two. I basically want to make their 3 computers into one network.

Ok .. from my understanding

3 Computers
2 ISP
2 Wireless Routers

So i am assuming 2 computers connect to 1 router, while the other connect to the 2nd router...

The simplest approach to this is to eliminate the 2nd internet connection and the second router.

Many linksys routers you can use as a Wireless acess point, which means you can use the second router to continually feed the signal. But the downside is that you need to physically wire both routers.

You can also purchase the Linksys 802.11g Wireless Range Extender, which picks up the signal and bounces it.

I had a similar problem where i wasnt getting any signal in my basement, so i mounted it near the stairway, it amplified the signal to about 70%.

Thanks...I'll try that with the second router. I would have to hardwire the second one, in order to configure it, or will it pick the signal up automatically? Any idea which would be more effective...the range extender or the 2nd access point that I have for continuing the signal?
