i have a project that i don't understand nothing about it its all about subnetting...

i have a backbone subnet 128.192.254.x
connected from 128.192.254.3 to a gateway 128.192.56.6 and from 128.192.254.4 to a gateway 128.192.55.6 each gateway is connected to a school the first one is connected to a school of science which is 128.192.56.x and it contains computers or labs 128.192.56.50 , 128.192.56.51 and 128.192.56.52
the other school is the school of business
128.192.55.x and computers in it or labs i donno 128.192.55.20 , 128.192.55.21 and 128.192.55.22 i should discuss this and calculate all subnets and i think i heard that the gateway has two ip's or subnets i donno it contains two ports or something can anybody help if understood ???????

Your studies should have prepared you with the basics to address this issue.

I would suggest a google search on subnetting and reviewing the material will refresh your understanding of what the question is that is being asked and how to solve the problem.
