Comment: Could you help me with my cable modem? Recently I got cable modem and I wanted to connect with two computers, both of them under win2000. I bought the Linksys router as well but somehow the host computer can log on only, other pc is connect also but unable to recieved any packets. So therefore i am unable to log on internet. Would you please show me how to fix it? thank you in advance.

Reply: (edit)Is your cable modem in the WAN port on the rounter and the other 2 in the normal ports? Have both computers had network setup wizard run on them and have IPs?

Reply: (edit)Have you tried release/renewing ip's? Also, sometimes recycling the cable modem helps: shutdown host pc, unplugged modem leave all for 5 minutes...power up modem, then pc.
