We have an old Dell laptop running NT that we'd like to use to run an HTML based demo. The problem is that the last user changed the paswords to God knows what. I've bypassed the boot login but I can't figure out my next step because: a.) the laptop has no floppy drive. b.) the laptop has no USB ports. c.) we have been unable to get an administrators password or the Workstation only passwords originally on file with IT to work. This thing isn't worth three nickles but it's become something of a personal challenge now. Any suggestions?
You can use the Offline NT Password Editor. Here is the location of the .iso file and instructions on how to reset the password: http://pogostick.net/~pnh/ntpasswd/ The guide is pretty straight forward. It will work, provided you have a CD-ROM.
