Simple problem: I have a laptop and a desktop computer. In "My Network places" I see from the laptop the dvd-burner that is in the destop computer but i can't burn anything remotely over the network because Nero on my laptop won't recognize it.

So is it possible to use the burner on my desktop computer remotely ?

Nero has a free application that allows that, called NeroNET. However you must have a full version of Nero installed on the client(s) to use it. You can get NeroNET HERE. There is a good article on using it here: Cross-Network CD Burning with NeroNET

But, without 3rd party software you cannot burn to a drive that is on a remote computer. The easiest workaround would be to remotely connect to that computer (Remote Desktop or VNC) and to initiate the burn from that machine.

Thank you very much Michael

I didn't know about the existence of NeroNET.
