I have a BT Home Hub and i have a usb printer connected to it. I Made a port in the printers propeties. This dose work bu when i print to it the 1st time it prints and after that i have to print it and thrn unplug the printer from the home hub and then plug it back again, then it starts printing.
Why dose this happen and how can i make it so it dose not have this problem.

sounds like a DHCP issue. This all hinges on if you can give the USB port on the Home-Hub a different IP address to the 2 ethernet ones.I used to work for BT installing their broadband but never got round to trying the usb-print-server kind of idea and i dont hold the material we were given for it anymore. the idea was you could install any old usb printer as a "network" printer by using the USB port on the back of the home hub.
i would try to set the printer to have a static IP address. I would pick 192.168.1.250
(192.168.1.254 is your default gateway and the Home-Hub steals 192.168.1.1 through to 192.168.1.65 for BT Fusion services)
Delete the old printer from the printers list.
Then goto start->control panel-> printers/fax and click "add new"
Select "local printer" and UN-check auto detect plug and play. Hit Next.
In the next window select "create a new port" and then select "TCP/IP Port from the drop down menu"
Hit Next and enter the IP of the printer (192.168.1.250) and install drivers if you have to.PS try calling the tech-support line and asking them because if the engineers were told this THEY HAVE been told how to do this - hopefully you will get somebody savvy...
