Hey, i have a wireless broadcom lan card installed and have since i got the laptop, and up until now i hadnt needed it...i believe its always been turned off but when i try to enable the radio it says to use my hardware control switch to do so...ive read of a solution using the FN button in conjuction with F2 but nothing happens!!

Have you searched the edge of the card and the sides of the laptop for a small switch that turns the wireless on and off? My Sony Vaio has a small switch on its front edge that I sometimes accidentally turn to the off position, disabling my network access.
