I have a wired system sharing my broadband with three computers using the netgear 614. I want to hook up a wireless netgear 614 to the wired router. Can I just just unplug one device, connect the wireless router to that port and connect the unplugged device to the wireless router. Then configure the secuirty setting for the wireless and contect with say a wirelss notebook pc? Thanks for your assistance and Happy Easter. Fred

You will need to connect the wireless router directly to a PC and enter the configuration page and turn off DHCP on the wireless router. The wired router will provide the DHCP service for you network. Save changes and exit. Then... You will need to connect the wireless router to the uplink port on the wired router. It is usually port number one. You should be able to hook any PC you want to to the wireless router either wired or wireless and everything should function normally.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Dave. One question. After I have connected the wireless router to a pc and turned off DHCP can I then disconnect the wireless, connect the wired to that pc, and attach the wireless to the wired using the uplink port? Will this slow performance? Thanks for your help. Fred
