Hi. I have a server running NT with 3 clients. A drive on the server is mapped to a standalone Win2000 machine. I'd like to add DSL to the standalone. The Server connects to everything with an 8 port hub. I cannot change the IP addresses of the server or the clients. I do not want the server or clients to have an internet connection. Is this possible using a router? Or is a second NIC card necessary for the standalone? Can I keep the connections but separate the two networks? I'd appreciate any help. Thanks.

two nics in the standalone should do it. DSL to one nic. The other nic to the hub and network. Only the standalone server will have internet.

Thanks for your suggestion... I realized that the router by default had the same IP address as the Server, so once I changed that, everything worked just fine. I used the router's filter settings to block the addresses of the Server and its clients. I'm considering using Netbios and changing the router and standalone so they are on a different domain for more security but I'm going to save that for another day. Thanks again.
